Yuvraj, who retired from international cricket recently, turned up for Toronto Nationals in Brampton.
Yuvi's side was up against Chris Gayle-led Vancouver Knights in the opening season of the GT20.
However, Yuvi failed to shine as he was dismissed in a bizarre fashion.
Yuvraj looked out of form in debut GT20 match
Yuvraj looked rusty ever since he came out to bat.
He was struggling with his timing as he couldn't connect with the ball.
Notably, this was his first match since he announced retirement in June 2019.
The stylish southpaw faced 27 balls to score 14 runs, without hitting a single boundary.
The ICC World Cup 2011 winner was then dismissed in a bizarre fashion.
This is how Yuvi's strange dismissal unfolded
The southpaw managed to get a faint edge in the 17th over of the innings.
Medium pacer Rizwan Cheema got Yuvi edging a delivery which was spilled by wicket-keeper Tobias Visse.
Meanwhile, the ball deflected off Visse's gloves to the stumps.
Yuvraj's foot was well inside the crease but he started walking off the field without even waiting for the on-field umpire's decision.

Yuvraj's dismissal came at a time when he was struggling with his back.
West Indian Kieron Pollard came in and smashed a 13-ball 30.
He smashed three sixes, whereas, South African wicket-keeper batsman Heinrich Klaasen amassed a brisk 41 to help Toronto reach 159/5.
In reply, the Knights chased down the target with 16 balls to spare.
Yuvraj on the match and his back issue
"It was a good game but we were never in the game. Credit to the Knights though, they played really well. My back is not so great at the moment, maybe a few drinks tonight will help me relax a bit," Yuvraj said.
