In what has been a fine journey for him so far, he has completed a splendid 11-year journey in international cricket.
Although it has been a long one, he is still going strong as he shared a special post on his journey so far.
Kohli thanked god for the blessings delivered to him so far.
"From starting as a teenager on the same day in 2008 to reflecting on the journey 11 years after, I couldn't have dreamt of the blessings God has showered me with. May you all get the strength and power to follow your dreams and always follow the right path," Kohli wrote on Twitter.

Ever since his debut, Kohli has left a grave mark of himself in world cricket, courtesy his exquisite batting.
He is also a holder of multiple records, both as a batsman and a captain.
He currently leads the Indian cricket team in all formats for the game.
Following are Kohli's current international stats:
In 77 Tests, he has amassed over 6,600 runs at an average of 53.8, including 25 centuries and 20 half-centuries.
In 239 ODIs, he has amassed over 11,500 runs at an average of 60.3, including 43 centuries and 54 half-centuries.
In 70 T20Is, he has amassed over 2,300 runs at an average of 49.4, including 21 half-centuries.
Speaking on his journey, Kohli is undoubtedly a future legend, as the boy from Delhi is also set to get a stand by his name at his home venue Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.
"Virat Kohli's outstanding contribution to world cricket has done DDCA proud. We are happy to honor him for achieving certain milestones and unbeatable captaincy record," said DDCA President Rajat Sharma.
"Feroz Shah Kotla would be equally proud because Virat played here as a teenager before joining the other legends in the Hall of Fame. I'm sure the 'Virat Kohli Stand' will be a source of inspiration for Delhi's young cricketers," added Rajat, reports PTI.
Currently, Kohli is leading the Indian team in the ongoing tour of Windies.
The side has already scripted series wins in the T20Is and ODIs so far, and have not lost a single game on the tour.
Meanwhile, the side would get their ICC World Test Championship campaign underway against them in Antigua, starting Monday, in a two-Test series.
