The India Under-19 cricket team players and coach Rahul Dravid are yet to receive their daily allowances as they play England in home series.

After the Supreme Court sacked former BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke in January, there has been no official signatory to release the funds to the players.

The junior cricketers are entitled to get Rs. 6,800 per day.

England's Under-19 cricket team would be touring India to play five ODI matches and two test matches with the Under-19 team of India.

The ODIs were to be played from 30 January to 8 February, all at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

The first youth test will start from 13 February while second will be played from 21 February, both in Nagpur.

India's U-19 team won the five match ODI series 3-1 after the fifth ODI ended in a tie at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

After losing the first match, the Indian team made a comeback and went on to win the next three matches by huge margins.

In the fifth ODI, India lost all their wickets in 50-overs as they chased 227 runs.

Many young cricketers are dependent on their parents for the dinner money and to survive the cash crunch. Players have been put in plush hotels where they cannot afford a meal and have to step out after a tiring day for dinner.

The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators has allowed BCCI CEO Rahul Johri to sanction the funds for India's senior cricket team, but the 25-member Under-19 team has been neglected.

A BCCI official has said, "We have decided that once the England series gets over, we will send the daily allowance directly to the accounts of players and support staff."
