Young Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has barely played 11 Tests but he has already reached a landmark of 50 dismissals.
In the process, he has bettered the previous record of the same held by former Indian wicket-keeper MS Dhoni.
He achieved the feat during the ongoing second Test against the Windies in Jamaica, where India are closing in on a win.
Pant fastest Indian to 50 Test dismissals
Pant has, in fact, become the fastest Indian to register 50 Test dismissals.
He has attained the feat in 11 Tests, which is four Tests better than Dhoni.
Among all-time wicket-keepers to have 50 dismissals in fewest Tests, he is fifth in the list, along with Adam Gilchrist (11), asides Tim Paine, Jonny Bairstow and Mark Boucher, who have done so in 10 Tests.
