Rabada reveals plans on how South Africa will tackle India

South Africa are about to tour India for a three-match T20I and Test series, starting September 15.

While the tour seems to be tough for the Proteas against the world class Indian bowling attack, the visitors have enjoyed success during their previous tours.

Meanwhile, South Africa's pacer Kagiso Rabada is confident of a good show, banking on the past experience.

Here's what he said.

Rabada said that his sole focus is on delivering his best and giving the team a chance to win the series.

He is also banking on the past experience of playing in India, as he has a fair idea of what to do in tough situations.

"The previous tour we were successful because we won the T20 and ODI series," said Rabada.

"We lost 3-0 and we were truly hammered"

"If I could give an example, the first Test match, it was 200 v 200 in the first innings. If we batted first, it was going to be a different ball game, because we ended up having to chase. We lost 3-0," recalled Rabada.

Recent tour

Rabada believes recent tour of Sri Lanka could help them

Meanwhile, Rabada also recalled the tricky situation they faced in Sri Lanka, during their recent tour.

Rabada believes that the tour could act as a base for the dos and don'ts during India tour.

"If you look at how Faf (du Plessis) batted in Sri Lanka, he got good starts, which showed that he had played there and knew the conditions," concluded Rabada.

South Africa coming off a horrific ICC World Cup campaign

Considering the recent performance of South Africa, their previous campaign was in the ICC World Cup 2019, where they were terrible. Of the nine matches, they managed to win just three and lost five, as they finished on the seventh spot in the tournament.

South Africa eye Test success in India, besides T20I domination

While South Africa would look to dominate in the same manner in the T20Is as the last time, it would certainly be an uphill task, especially following India's 3-0 domination against the Windies, recently.

However, it would be the Test series, which Proteas would be eyeing, with their last series win coming in India in 2000, where they registered a 2-0 clean sweep.
