This was Afghanistan's second successive Test series victory.
Before this win, they had overcome Ireland in a one-off Test.
The Afghans bowled out Bangladesh for 173 in the second innings to win by 224 runs.

Afghanistan went on to register their second Test win in just their third Test match.
With this feat, they became the joint quickest team to the landmark.
The Afghans drew level with Australia who picked up their second Test victory all the way back in 1879.
This was Afghanistan's biggest Test win as well and their first away from adopted home (India).
Rashid joins an elite club on captaincy debut
Rashid Khan became only the fourth player to hit a fifty-plus score and take five scalps on Test captaincy debut.
Former England skipper Sheldon Jackson (1905), Pakistan legend Imran Khan (1982) and Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan (2009) have gone on to score 50-plus runs and take a 5-for on their captaincy debuts.
It is an elite club and Rashid will be ecstatic.

Rashid Khan picks up 11 wickets against the Tigers
Rashid picked up six wickets in the second innings to demolish Bangladesh.
He ended the Test match with a total of 11 scalps.
His 6/49 is his best returns in a Test inning after picking up 5/55 in the first innings.
This was also his third fifer in Test cricket.
Earlier, he had picked up 5/82 to help Afghanistan beat the Irish.
Rashid is the youngest captain to win a Test match
Rashid has already taken 20 wickets so far in three Tests.
Earlier, he became the youngest Test captain ever.
He surpassed Tatenda Taibu's record (20 years, 358 days).
However, Rashid (20 years, 350 days), was eight days younger while leading the Afghans against Bangladesh.
He is also the youngest ever captain to win a Test match in international cricket.

This was their highest score in Test cricket. Their previous best was 314 against Ireland.
Rahmat Shah (102) became Afghanistan's first Test centurion.
He is the highest run-scorer for the Afghans (294).
Asghar Afghan (92 and 50) now has three career Test fifties.
His 92 is also his best individual score.
