Rege further praised Shaw for his classy batting and hailed him as a dynamic young batsman.

"We have Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored quite heavily in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored a double-hundred and two hundreds in the 50-over tournament. It is a happy position for Mumbai, but as a selector, it is a tough decision to keep somebody out," concluded Rege.
Shaw looks to begin from where he left off
While it is unclear as to if Shaw would be selected for Mumbai during Syed Mushtaq, it seems likely to be a fresh start for him.
However, Shaw would aim to start from where he left off and would also eye a return to the Indian Test squad.
While he won't feature in the upcoming two Tests against Bangladesh, New Zealand could be next.
