Even Kohli can't do what Rohit is capable of: Sehwag
However, what is unique about him is that he doesn't let the pressure of captaincy impact his batting, as was evident in the second T20I.
Meanwhile, legend Virender Sehwag recently said even Kohli can't do what Rohit is capable of.
Sehwag compared Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma
Sehwag recalled an incident when Sachin Tendulkar told him that even the former can do what he does.
However, Sehwag was baffled as he believed no one can match Sachin.
"Rohit's that of a player. What Rohit can do, maybe even Kohli can't. In one over, hitting 3-4 sixes, scoring 80-90 runs off 45 balls, haven't seen Kohli do it many times," said Sehwag.
Sehwag believes Rohit is better than Kohli
How did the 2nd T20I pan out?
Bangladesh got off to a strong start (60/0), courtesy of their openers.
From there on, India kept pegging Bangladesh back with regular scalps.
Chahal and Washington Sundar tied things down.
Four Bangladeshi batsmen got starts, however, nobody capitalized.
In reply, India got off to a flier. Rohit and Dhawan complimented each other well to set the base of the chase.
Some records scripted during the match
As for the records scripted during India's win:
Rohit became the second player after Pakistan's Shoaib Malik to play 100 T20Is.
He became the first batsman to surpass the 2,500-run mark in T20Is.
He equaled Virat Kohli in terms of joint-most fifty-plus scores in T20Is (22).
He, along with Shikhar Dhawan, stitched their fourth century-plus stand in T20Is.
Rohit eyes historic record
As Rohit looks to continue his ferocious form in the third T20I on Sunday, he would be eyeing a unique record.
Rohit needs two more sixes to become the first Indian to hit 400 sixes in his international career.
He would also become the third batsman in the world to do so, after Chris Gayle (534) and Shahid Afridi (476).
