Aussies dominated India yet again, on the day 1 of 2nd test in Bengaluru, by putting on a brilliant bowling display.

Nathan Lyon, with his career best figures of 8/50, was the star of the day, as the visitors bundled out India for 189.

In reply, the Australian side ended the first day by making 40 runs without a loss of wicket.

The ongoing 2nd Test is part of the India vs Australia 4-match Test series. It is scheduled from 23 Feb to 29 March. India lost the first Test in Pune by a huge margin of 333 runs.

Nathan Lyon's 8/50 stats are the second-best for an Australian spinner. They are also the best figures by a visiting bowler in India. Lyon's 58 wickets against India is the most by an Australian bowler. He surpassed Brett Lee's tally of 53 wickets.

Solid batting display from KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane in the second innings turned the tide in favour of India in the 2nd Test at Chinnaswamy stadium.

Rahul recorded his 4th test fifty scoring 51 off 85.

A significant 118-run partnership from Pujara (92) and Rahane (52) helped India in providing a competitive target for Australia.
