Former Premier League champions Leicester City have turned the tournament upside down with their escalating performance.
Ranked second in the table, the Foxes are six points clear of third-placed defending champions Manchester City, and eight behind league leaders Liverpool.
As they continue to impress, let us have a look at their season stats so far to prove how good they have actually been.
Leicester now have registered eight consecutive wins in a top-flight league, their best tally. If we consider their win over Burton in the League Cup in October, they have won 9 consecutive ties. Interestingly, their best tally was nine in the Championship in 2013-14.
It was in February 2019 when Brendan Rodgers took charge of Leicester.
Since then, in 29 matches, they have lost on just five occasions, while they have lost by a margin of just a goal on each occasion.
Also, the side has drawn just five matches under him, while he has a win percentage of 65.5 so far at the club.
Riding on the same success from last season, Rogers has managed to turn the club around, as considering their performance this season, they have a phenomenal win percentage of 73.68.
In 19 games across competitions, they have won 14, while 12 of them have come in the EPL.
Furthermore, they are unbeaten at home this season, winning seven of the eight games played.
As for their goal-scoring prowess this season, Leicester have scored the third-most number of goals, other than Liverpool and City.
They have already broken their club record of largest EPL win twice this season (5-0 against Newcastle United and 9-0 against Southampton).
Furthermore, Jamie Vardy's 16 goals in the same number of EPL matches this season has made him the league's top-scorer so far.
In another interesting observation, Leicester have conceded the fewest goals this season.
While they have conceded just 10 goals in the EPL this season, they have not conceded more than two goals in a match.
Moreover, it has led them to possess the best goal difference in the season so far (+29).
Also, they have the most number of clean sheets this season (7).
