Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos scored a goal each against Real Betis to help Real Madrid get back on the top in La Liga at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Ronaldo scored in the 41st minute, while Ramos's goal came in the 81st minute; Antonio Sanabria had scored the only goal for the visitors in the 24th minute.

Atletico Madrid defeated Granada FC 1-0 after Antoine Griezmann scored a late goal for the visitors.

After a goal-less first half, Griezmann netted a header in the 84th minute of the match to give Atletico three points.

It was the fourth goal for Griezmann in the last four encounters. With this win, Atletico Madrid has inched closer to Sevilla in the table standings.

Seventh placed Athletic Bilbao defeated sixth placed Real Sociedad 2-0 to win their second consecutive match. Raul Garcia and Inaki Williams scored a goal each in the 28th and 56th minute respectively.

They are followed by their arch rivals FC Barcelona with 60 points from 27 matches.
