Lionel Messi scored two goals for the home team in 45th and 52nd minute. Luis Suarez scored the opening goal for Barca in 35th minute, while Andre Gomes closed the win with a 90th minute goal.

Barcelona are on second spot, two points behind Real Madrid.

Gijon defeats Granada 3-1

Sporting Gijon collected a critical 3-1 win over Granada to move to the 18th place in the points table. Lacina Traore, Jean-Sylvain Babin and Carlos Carmona scored a goal each for Gijon.
