Winning the toss, Australian team scored 131 runs with the loss of just one wicket till lunch in the fourth test match against India at Dharamsala.

The visitors lost Matt Renshaw to Umesh Yadav early in the day, but captain Steven Smith and David Warner put on a 121 run partnership. Both Smith and Warner scored half centuries.

Dharamsala will host its first test match, as India and Australia play the series decider fourth test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The four match series is tied at 1-1.

The Indian team will be led by Ajinkya Rahane in the absence of injured Virat Kohli.

The visitors will be playing with the same XI selected for the Ranchi test match.

Changes in team India

Kuldeep Yadav will be replacing captain Virat Kohli to play his first ever text match. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been added to the team in place of pacer Ishant Sharma.

Debutant Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets in the post lunch session to put Australia on the back foot in the fourth test at Dharamsala. Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin picked up a wicket each.

Australia were at 208 runs at the tea after losing six wickets. Captain Steve Smith scored 111 runs before being sent back by Ashwin.

Indian bowlers restricted the Australian team to 300 runs in the first innings at Dharamsala.

Kuldeep Yadav ended with four wickets, while Umesh Yadav got two. Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuwaneshwar Kumar picked up a wicket each.

KL Rahul and Murali Vijay opened batting for India, but played just one over before the bails were off.

Hosts Indian have put themselves in a strong position to win the fourth test match against Australia at Dharamsala at the end of day three.

In second innings, India bowled out Australia for 137, needing just 106 runs to win.

India have scored 19 runs and have not lost a single wicket, they need 87 more runs to win.

Indian team sent the Australians back to pavilion in a little less than two sessions on day three. Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up three wickets each, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar got one.

Chasing 106 runs on day four, India lost two wickets before winning the match. KL Rahul scored 51 runs, while standing captain Ajinkya Rahane fired 38 runs off 27 balls.

India won the four match series 2-1.
