Indian players missing at IPL 10

World number one all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has been ruled out of the upcoming tenth season of Indian Premier League owing to a sports hernia injury.

Ashwin, who plays for Rising Pune Supergiants, has been ruled out from playing for atleast six to eight weeks.

The off-spinner played 13 tests this season, picking up 81 wickets and has bowled close to 750 overs.

In a recent press release, BCCI has mentioned that Virat Kohli will miss the initial phase of IPL and will undergo rehabilitation for the injury he sustained on right shoulder during the test match at Ranchi.

BCCI said that his recovery will be assessed in the second week of April.

His return to IPL will be decided after the assessment.

Jadeja, Umesh to rest for two weeks

Left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja and pacer Umesh Yadav have been advised two weeks rest before joining their respective teams at the IPL. Jadeja has injured his spinning finger, while Yadav has soreness in right hip and lower back.
