Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Gujarat Lions to hand their second loss in the 2017 Indian Premier League.

Chasing 136, skipper David Warner led from the front and scored 76 runs off 45 balls, while Moises Henriques scored 52 runs to win the game by nine wickets, with 27 balls to spare.

Warner also crossed 7000-run mark in T20s.

Opening the batting Jason Roy scored 31 runs, but Brendon McCullum managed only five runs.

The visitors kept losing wickets at regular intervals, until Dinesh Karthik and Dwayne Smith had a 56 run partnership to put on a decent score on the board.

Playing in his second IPL match, Rashid Khan picked up three wickets for 19 runs to grab the purple cap from Imran Tahir. He also produced IPL 2017's best bowling figures till now.
