Amla scored 65 runs, he put a 70-run partnership with Shaun Marsh and a 47-run stand with skipper Glenn Maxwell.

Axar Patel scored 34 off 17 balls in the end to finish it off for Punjab.

Century of dismissals for Karthik

Gujarat Lions' wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik completed his century of dismissals in the Indian Premier League. He is the first wicket keeper to reach the mark of 100 dismissals in IPL with 74 catches and 26 stumpings.
