What does the applicant need to have?
According to the advertisement put out by BCCI, one of the conditions is that the candidate applying "should have successfully coached a cricket team of any of the member countries of the ICC, at the first class or at the International level."

Virender Sehwag was an unconventional player of cricket who was known for his ability to take risks.

Other applicants Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, Richard Pybus and Doda Ganesh fulfill the conditions put out by the BCCI.
