Wrestling coach held for raping minor kabaddi player
A former national level wrestler turned coach was arrested by the police for sexually assaulting a junior national level kabaddi player in Delhi.
Identified as Naresh Dahiya, the accused runs an akhada in North Delhi's Shahbad Dairy.
The accused has now been booked under Section 376 of the IPC.
The incident took place on 9th July, when the victim was practising at Chhatrasal Stadium.

Accused posed as a kabaddi coach before raping the minor
According to the report, the accused posed as a kabaddi coach and lured the victim in to his car. He then hit her behind her shoulder, and left her unconscious.
After regaining consciousness, the minor found herself in a flat and was later left on the street by the same man. He also threatened her to not mention the incident to anyone.
Medical exam confirms rape
After filing complaint to the police, a medical exam at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital confirmed that the minor was raped. She is now undergoing treatment.
