Ajay Thakur - India's top kabaddi player
Ajay Thakur hails from Dabhota village in Himachal Pradesh. His father and cousin have both been a part of India's Kabaddi Team. Ajay started playing Kabaddi when he was young and got selected in the national team in 2005, when he was 19-years old.
Rise as the best raider
Soon after his debut, Thakur was appointed vice-captain of the team for the 2007 World Cup, where India won the gold medal.
He had a major contribution when the Indian team won gold medals at the 2007 Asian Indoor Games and 2014 Asian Games.
In the 2016 World Cup, he was the highest scorer of the tournament, including match winning 12-points in the finals.

Pro Kabaddi League career
Ajay Thakur was a part of Bengaluru Bulls for the first two seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League, and Puneri Paltan for the last two.
In 58 matches, he has 327 points to his name, 316 of which have come from raids.
From four seasons of the league, he has earned Rs 12 lakh, Rs 15 lakh, Rs 20 lakh, Rs 19 lakh respectively.
