A five-tier security ring made of top American and Indian security personnel will protect Ivanka.

Additionally, the Hyderabad police has banned begging in the city from November 8 to January 7, 2018, and shifted about 1,000 alms-seekers to jail-ashrams.

It has also advised nearly 3,500 residents in the Falaknuma area to not entertain strangers, relatives or friends until Ivanka's safe departure.

Safety Measures

Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner will be accompanying her during her India visit.

Her security arrangements would reportedly match to that provided to a US President. However, her visit is subject to cancellation if American officials perceive any threat to her security (the chances of which, according to them, are very high) or a leak in the details of her itinerary.

What is the Global Entrepreneurship Summit?

Co-hosted by India and the US, the eighth edition of GES is being organized by NITI Aayog, the External Affairs Ministry and Andhra Pradesh government.

Started by former American President Barack Obama in Washington in 2010, it aims to bring together budding entrepreneurs and global business leaders.

PM Modi had invited Ivanka to lead the American delegation during his US visit earlier in June.
