The brutal rape and murder of an 8-year old girl in Kasur, a small town located in Pakistan's Punjab province, triggered violent protests.
Two people reportedly died as the police fired at the mob in a bid to control the violence.

People stormed the deputy commissioner's office on Wednesday in protest. Retaliating, police opened fire, killing two and injuring several others.

Pakistan: Man who raped, murdered eight-year-old behind seven other crimes
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in Kasur city of Pakistan's Punjab province, whose DNA matched samples taken from eight minor girls sexually assaulted and murdered in the area recently.
Imran Ali's samples have also matched those taken from the eight-year-old girl raped and murdered over 10 days ago, a crime which shook Pakistan.
Ali, who was known to the victim's family, has confessed.
