And driving absent-mindedly is bound to land you in trouble.

In one such incident, a man in China, who was having a smoke while driving, tossed the cigarette out of his vehicle. But his silly mistake ended up setting his truck on fire. Ouch!

The man, Wu, was driving on a motorway in Zhangzhou, Fujian province of China.

After almost finishing his smoke he threw the cigarette butt out of his truck. But little did he know his thoughtless act would land his truck in flames.

Wu admitted to his reckless mistake but added that it was probably the wind that blew the cigarette back to the truck.

Rescue

People rushed with extinguishers to put out the flames

Wu had stopped the vehicle at a toll station after the truck caught fire.

Fortunately, several people rushed from the toll station to put out the blaze with fire extinguishers and managed to contain the fire.

Pictures shared on social media show the charred remains of the back of the truck.

Some plastic cages and two bicycles were damaged in the fire.
