Boo's owner, Irene Ahn, announced the sad news on Facebook on Friday.

She mentioned that the little Pomeranian passed away in his sleep and left them to join his best friend 'Buddy', another Pomeranian.

In fact, after Buddy died in 2017, Boo had been showing signs of heart problems, and Ahn suspects his heart literally broke after the death of his best paw companion.

'We find comfort in knowing Boo is not in pain'

"Our family is heartbroken, but we find comfort knowing that he (Boo) is no longer in any pain," the Facebook post read.

Ahn said that they know Buddy would be the first to greet his friend "on the other side of the rainbow bridge."

She revealed that the cute canine was so easy-going that they never had to bother with training.
