The doctors have successfully extracted all the bees who were living in the woman, surnamed He's, tear duct.
After being hospitalized for the last five days, He has recovered 80% of her vision.
While speaking at a press conference, Dr Hung Chi-ting, hospital's head of ophthalmology, said, "I saw something that looked like insect legs, so I pulled them out under a microscope slowly, and one at a time without damaging their bodies."
According to reports, the bees entered He's eye when she was pulling out weeds near a family member's grave.
Although He felt the bees going inside her eye, she assumed it was dirt and just washed the eye with water.
By that night her eye swelled up, and she could feel a sharp pain under her eyelid.
Next morning after suspecting an infection, He decided to go to the hospital, where the bees were discovered, through a microscope, feeding on her tears.
Since He didn't rub her eyes, her eyesight could be saved.
In the press conference, Hung told, "Sweat bees commonly nest in the mountains and near graves which explained how they had come into contact with He."
Apple News Network also shared the video of the press conference.
