8 Egyptian policeman killed in terror attack

At least eight police officials were killed and three others injured after a group of terrorists attacked a security checkpoint at Al-Naqb in southwestern Egypt.

Police killed two attackers in a gun battle and have launched a manhunt for the terrorists who escaped.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Egypt has witnessed an increase in militant attacks since the 2011 revolution.
