The Mail (media publication) received the first-ever unmasked video of 'Jihadi John'.

In the 17 second long video, the fanatic yields a knife and vows to continue beheading people.

He further gives a sinister warning to return to Britain with ISIS's self styled leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The footage was allegedly shot two months ago in south-east Syria.

Jihadi John made headlines when he appeared in an ISIS beheading video in August 2014, dressed in black and masked, barring his eyes.

He is wanted for the ghastly beheadings of journalists and aid workers Stephen Sotloff, James Foley, David Haines, Alan Henning and Peter Kassig.

His identity was a secret, and his accent distinguishably English.

A nickname derived from John Lennon's name

Nicknamed 'John' because of his association with a terror cell named 'Beatles', where he took the cover identity of John Lennon. Ringo Starr of Beatles fame expressed his disgust with 'Jihadi John' for using the Beatles name for such ghastly purposes.

Terror experts after examining the footage of the beheading of Japanese hostage Kenji Goto, believed that the executioner was not Jihadi John.

Terrorism expert Professor Peter Neumann said that the executioner had changed movements and was of a different stature.

This has led to the conjecture that 'Jihadi John' was most likely dead and was replaced because he had become a strong "propaganda figure".

He was recognized by a number of people, one being his close friend as well as a few of his associates.

U.S. Army Col. Steven Warren announced that a drone hit on 13 November had killed all jihadis in a targeted vehicle, and those hit most likely included Mohammed Emwazi or Jihadi John.

The United States had been tracking Emwazi's movements closely.

Three drones had tailed the vehicle he was in, which also had another person and 2 Hellfire missiles were fired at it.

The group published an obituary for Jihadi John, whose real name was Mohammed Emwazi.

The group stated that he died on 12 November "as the car he was in was targeted in a strike by an unmanned drone in the city of Raqqa."
