H-1B visa: Jaitley 'strongly raises' issue with US officials
At the first cabinet-level meeting between India and US under the Donald Trump administration, Indian Finance Minster Arun Jaitley "strongly raised" the H-1B visa issue with US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.
He highlighted the contribution of Indian professionals to the American economy, and said it should continue for mutual bilateral benefits.

The legislation proposes a market-based resolution that gives preference to companies "willing to pay the most".
