3,292 NGOs, institutes haven't disclosed foreign donations yet: Govt
As many as 3,292 NGOs and institutes, including some top academic centers like JNU, IGNOU, IIT Delhi and Madras, have not disclosed their annual foreign donations and expenditure between 2011-12 and 2016-17, Home Ministry has said.

Foreign funding licenses of 5,000 NGOs canceled: Government
Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju today informed Lok Sabha that nearly 5,000 NGOs were barred by the government from receiving foreign funding after the cancellation of their licenses since April 2017.

1,222 NGOs asked to validate bank accounts or face action
The Home Ministry has asked 1,222 NGOs to validate their foreign funds' bank accounts. If they fail to do so, they will face penal action under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010.
