In Avengers: Endgame, the original Captain America (Chris Evans) retired to spend time with the love of his life Peggy Carter. Before that, he passed on the mantle to Sam (Anthony Mackie).

Mackie previously played Falcon who was also Captain America's sidekick. In Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we got to see him accept the shield and mantle of the legendary Captain America.

Now, Nigerian-American filmmaker, Julius Onah will be helming the upcoming title. His famous works include The Girl is in Trouble and Luce, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Captain America 4 will be Mackie's first solo movie as an Avengers character and also as the titular hero. No release date has been announced so far.

Will Evans
return for a cameo?

While one might hope for Evans to reprise his role as Steve Rogers for even a small cameo, but, unfortunately, there has not been any announcement on that yet.
