Why was ‘Brahmastra’ song 'Kesariya' reshot?

Composed by Pritam, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and sung by Arijit Singh, 'Kesariya' was released in July. While it was praised for its soothing melody, a portion of the lyrics drew flak.

During a recent event held at FICCI, director Ayan Mukerji and producer Karan Johar were asked if any disagreements had cropped up between them during the shoot. Thus came the revelation.

What was changed?

KJo recalled being put off by Ranbir's "feverish" dancing in the original version. Mukerji paid heed to the feedback and agreed to bring some changes to the song's video.

Other changes

'Kesariya' aside, Johar had issues with other stuff too. "There was a big Kali puja sequence....when [Johar saw it, he was] very harsh," said Mukerji, adding this was tweaked as well.
