Popping your pimples

Squeezing or popping a pimple pushes the bacteria deep inside your skin which can heighten inflammation and redness, and increase acne breakouts.

Changing products frequently

Not giving your skin time to get used to
one product and moving to something new, irritates the skin, leading to breakouts. Give each product at least six-eight weeks.

Covering up acne
with heavy makeup

The chemicals present in makeup products can flare up active acne and cause more breakouts. Instead, you can opt for mineral and oil-free products.

Sharing your
makeup products

Even if your makeup products are clean, sharing them with friends or family can transport acne-causing bacteria, oil, and dead skin cells from one person to another.

Sleeping
with makeup on

Never sleep with your makeup on as it clogs pores and can cause acne. Similarly, wash your face after a workout as the sweat and oil on your face can lead to breakouts.
