The first solar
eclipse of 2022 will occur on May 1 between 12:15 am and 4:07 am IST.

The partial solar
eclipse will not be
visible from India.

It can be viewed from South/West America, Pacific Atlantic, and Antarctica.

Those in other
areas can view the eclipse live online on YouTube.

This eclipse will
see nearly 65% of the Sun covered by the Moon at its peak, according to NASA.

This solar eclipse
also coincides with
the Black Moon,

the New Moon phase when the Moon is always “black.”
