Jimmy Adams is set to end his tenure

Jimmy Adams is leaving his role as director of cricket for Cricket West Indies at the end of June after holding the position for almost six and a half years. CWI is now searching for a replacement.

West Indies Cricket Board thanked Jimmy Adams for his leadership and contribution and formed separate selection panels for women's and youth WI teams.

WI have been in downward spiral

The West Indies men's cricket team has been struggling since the tenure of Johnny Adams due to issues with top players and hasn't reached the knockout stages of an ICC tournament since 2016.

Former Cricket West Indies (CWI) director, Jimmy Adams, expressed his gratitude and wished CWI luck for future endeavors after being involved in the organization's evolution for over six years.

Format-specific coaches for WI team

WI finished in the penultimate position in both the 2019-21 and 2021-23 ICC World Test Championships. Following the team's humiliating exit from last year's T20 WC, CWI hired format-specific coaches.
