Andhra Pradesh announces ₹10,200cr for drinking water in 123 municipalities
Andhra Pradesh just announced a big step for city life: ₹10,200 crore is being invested to bring safe drinking water to 123 municipalities.
It's all part of the AMRUT scheme and other projects aimed at upgrading urban infrastructure.
The news came from Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana during a review meeting this week.

This funding will help lay new pipelines and get treated water straight to people's homes.
There's also ₹5,500 crore set aside for fixing roads, plus ₹4,200 crore under the Urban Challenge Fund to speed up underground drainage work.
Local MLAs joined officials to check progress in places like Visakhapatnam and Narsipatnam, with all these upgrades expected to wrap up within the year, making city life smoother for everyone.
