Ashutosh Ranka alleges Rajasthan police intimidating CJP after Jaipur attack
Ashutosh Ranka, co-convener of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), says Rajasthan police are intimidating his team after they were attacked in Jaipur on August 21.
He claims 15 officers showed up outside a volunteer's house and questioned the family, calling it "these scare tactics will work" and inviting police to contact him directly instead.
CJP alleges BJP attack, FIRs filed
The trouble started when CJP members went to check out a government school reportedly running out of a buffalo shed.
Ranka alleges "BJP goons" attacked them while police stood by, leaving some team members hurt and vehicles damaged.
Jaipur police say they have registered FIRs from both CJP workers and local villagers, with investigations ongoing.
The incident comes amid heated debates over new rules limiting school inspections in Rajasthan.
