Bank employee duped, robbed of ₹40 lakh

In a bold heist on Wednesday, a Kozhikode bank staffer named Aravind was robbed of ₹40 lakh after being tricked by a man pretending to be a customer needing help with pledged gold. The suspect convinced Aravind to bring the cash to Pantheerankavu, then grabbed it and sped off on a black Jupiter scooter.

Suspect identified as Shibin Lal

Police have identified the main suspect as Shibin Lal, who used a fake card to pull off the scam. CCTV shows him wearing a helmet, T-shirt, and yellow raincoat while making his getaway. Investigators are reviewing footage and working to catch Lal and recover the stolen money.
