Bay of Bengal low eases heat across coastal Andhra Pradesh
On Saturday, Coastal Andhra Pradesh got a break from the relentless heat as moderate to heavy rain swept through the region.
Thanks to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, temperatures dropped and the Pandit Nehru Bus Station area in Vijayawada was waterlogged, while Benz Circle saw traffic jams and vehicles stranded for nearly an hour, causing some traffic jams, but the rain brought relief to the denizens from sweltering heat.

West Godavari and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema districts were hit hardest, with Penugonda getting 108.2mm of rain and Malikipuram not far behind at 79.7mm.
