Bihar rain, lightning deaths rise to 10; 13 injured

Bihar's been hit hard by nonstop rain and storms, leaving much of the state flooded and sadly causing 10 deaths over just two days.
Most of the fatalities were from lightning strikes across several districts, including Vaishali and Rohtas, while others were due to severe weather.
Thirteen people have been injured, and authorities are working on support for affected families.

Patna's service lane collapses , Sitamarhi sees major flooding

The downpour has caused a service lane near Patna's Mithapur flyover to collapse (the main flyover is still safe), while Sitamarhi saw over 15 hours of rain leading to major flooding.
East Champaran has been turned into an island due to floodwaters, Gopalganj hospital is underwater disrupting care, and Muzaffarpur's shops and homes are waterlogged—businesses there have come to a halt.
The weather department says storms could continue in some areas but expects rain to ease up from Monday.
