Caste violence erupts in Madhya Pradesh village
In Lalpur village, Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh), four upper-caste men—recently out on bail for a similar crime—stormed the home of a Dalit ex-sarpanch's family.
They fired shots into the air and assaulted both a woman and a young man with gun butts.
The attack traces back to an 18-month-old feud that started over DJ music at a local event and later turned into land disputes.

Ajmer Singh Parihar, the former sarpanch, said these men have harassed his family before.
Police have now filed fresh cases under assault, attempt to murder, and SC/ST Act sections—and assured strict action after videos of the violence went viral online.
The investigation is ongoing.
