Chhattisgarh: 3 Naxalites, including woman, killed in Sukma encounter

Three Naxalites, including a woman, were killed during a face-off with security forces on a forested hill in Sukma, Chhattisgarh.
The District Reserve Guard (DRG) had gone in after getting a tip about Maoist activity and ended up in an armed clash.

Ongoing crackdown on Naxalites this year

Sukma's police chief Kiran Chavan confirmed the recovery of the bodies and said operations are still underway.
In 2025 alone, security forces have neutralized 284 Naxalites across Chhattisgarh—most of them in the Bastar region—showing just how active these anti-Naxalite efforts have been lately.
