After an accident near Chinniyampalayam, 39-year-old Karthik from Coimbatore was declared brain dead, but his story didn't end there.
His family chose to donate his organs, and thanks to their decision, six people now have a new shot at life.
Parents and sister made donation call
Karthik's parents and sister made the call to donate his liver, kidneys, eyes, skin, and bone.
The transplants were carried out at KMCH and another local hospital.
KMCH's chairman thanked the family for their decision to donate the organs, hoping it encourages more people to come forward as donors.
