Decade-Long search concludes with arrest of fraudulent doctor
Delhi Police have arrested Raj Kumar Sharma, 52, who was posing as a doctor from AIIMS-Rishikesh to win people's trust. He was finally caught in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Besides posing as a doctor, Sharma is also linked to several fraud and forgery cases.
Decades of scams
Sharma's tricks included getting vehicle loans with fake documents back in 2007 and conning two people out of ₹14.10 lakh by selling them land using forged papers in 2015. After getting bail, he skipped court and kept changing his name and contact info to dodge arrest. Originally from Bulandshahr, UP, Sharma used to publish magazines before turning to scams. Now jobless and living off family farmland, he remains under investigation as police dig deeper into his past deals and assets.
