Delhi bars non compliant goods vehicles from November 1, 2026
Big changes are coming to Delhi's roads from November 1, 2026.
Only BS VI-compliant, CNG-powered, or electric goods vehicles will be allowed in the city, and if your vehicle doesn't have a valid PUC, you won't get fuel: ANPR cameras will help enforce this.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta says the main goal is to cut down on air pollution from vehicles.
Delhi plans multipronged pollution control measures
During peak pollution days, expect staggered work hours and more traffic restrictions.
The city plans to expand its bus fleet to 13,760 by 2028-29, prioritizing electric busses.
To ease jams at busy spots, an Intelligent Traffic Management System is coming soon.
Plus, industries must monitor emissions online, construction dust will be tackled with tech and sweepers, and a new Green War Room will coordinate all these efforts for cleaner air.
