Delhi experiences high of 41.8 degrees Celsius

Delhi-NCR woke up to some much-needed rain early Sunday, giving everyone a break from the relentless heat. Temperatures dropped, with the max hitting 41.8°C. The IMD clocked 42mm of rainfall along with thunderstorms between 2:30am and 4:30am.

TL;DR

'Orange' alert for more rain, strong winds

The rain brought strong winds—up to 56km/h at Palam airport—which led to lower visibility and even some power cuts in parts of the city. IMD has put out an 'orange' alert for more rain and storms, possibly with gusts reaching 60km/h. On the bright side, Sunday's minimum temperature dipped to a comfy 20°C and air quality improved too, with an AQI of just 62. Monday looks set for more showers and cooler weather ahead.
