Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Delhi stretch begins month-long trial as officials assess
India
The new Delhi stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway just started its month-long trial run. It links Sarai Kale Khan-Maharani Bagh to Faridabad, passing through Jaitpur and Meethapur.
Right now, officials are checking road conditions and traffic flow before opening it up for everyone.
Delhi stretch includes Agra Canal bridge
This section is nearly nine kilometers long (most of it elevated!) and even has a bridge over the Agra Canal.
Once fully open, it should seriously ease jams on Mathura Road and help folks from Noida and Ghaziabad skip the usual Kalindi Kunj bottleneck.
For now, there's a 40-kph speed limit during trials, with traffic cops around to guide drivers heading toward Faridabad and Jaipur.
