Delhi-NCR is having an oddly warm, foggy December

Delhi and NCR are seeing warmer days than usual for December—the maximum temperature recently reached 25.4°C between Wednesday and Thursday morning, 2.4°C above normal, and nights are staying milder too.
Not exactly sweater weather yet!

Why bother?

The IMD says a lack of active Western Disturbances is keeping things warm.
