Delhi plans drone policy with research hubs and traffic management
Delhi is planning a drone policy to make city life smoother.
The plan? Set up research hubs, use drones for traffic management, and work closely with the Drone Federation of India.
A committee led by the IT department secretary will keep things on track.
Delhi policy includes training and subsidies
The policy is all about using drones responsibly: think better surveillance, safer policing, and faster disaster response.
There will be workshops to teach people about drones, plus training centers for future pilots. Financial perks like subsidies aim to support the drone ecosystem and research.
"A comprehensive drone policy is being planned to ensure safe and regulated drone operations. Along with this, the government is working on an IT dashboard, a digital monitoring system to provide effective governance," IT minister Pankaj Singh said.
