Delhi Police arrest Amarjeet linked to 2cr Bishnoi gang extortion
Delhi Police just arrested Amarjeet, a 40-year-old linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Randeep Malik gang, for his role in a ₹2 crore extortion plot.
He was caught on August 20 in Rani Bagh after trying to run from the cops.
The case started back in April when someone reported receiving calls and messages from a person claiming to be Randeep Malik of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for money.
Amarjeet allegedly shared payment link
Police say Amarjeet helped pick out the target and said a payment link was allegedly shared with the complainant.
Before going underground, he worked at a mobile phone market and was involved in illegal liquor trading until April.
When police tracked him down, his interim bail application before the Delhi High Court was dismissed, and he's now facing serious charges like extortion.
