Delhi Police arrest Hari Om Mishra, bust 2 fake rackets
India
Delhi Police just busted two major rackets making and selling fake or expired products in the city.
One raid uncovered a factory in Khanjawala pumping out counterfeit toothpaste under pretty unhygienic conditions:
Hari Om Mishra, who was allegedly running the operation, got arrested on the spot.
Police catch repackaging soft drinks, biscuits
Police found around 1,800 filled and over 10,000 empty tubes ready to go.
In another raid in Dwarka, three people were caught repackaging old soft drinks and biscuits with new expiration dates: over 3,000 cans and a large quantity of biscuits were seized.
The FSSAI officers were called to the spot to verify licenses and collect samples.
This crackdown is all about keeping consumers safe from shady products.
