Delhi Police file FIR against AAP leaders over Christmas skit

India

Delhi Police have registered an FIR against AAP leaders Saurabh Bhardwaj, Sanjeev Jha, and Adil Ahmed Khan after a complaint that their recent skit in Connaught Place hurt religious sentiments.
The complaint, filed by Advocate Khushboo George, alleges the skit—performed on December 17 and 18—mocked Christmas traditions.

Skit sparks debate on protest vs. offense

The skit showed two people dressed as Santa Claus with gas masks collapsing from pollution and being revived with mock CPR. The complainant felt this disrespected Saint Nicholas and the spirit of Christmas during Advent.
Police have booked the case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Defending the act, Bhardwaj said it was meant to highlight Delhi's pollution problem and that it has led to discussions about air quality.
As of now, no arrests have been made; the investigation is ongoing.
